A Recap of the Manifesto Night

The Manifesto Night was a time for Aspirants to share their plans for the association, while students get clarity from them regarding these plans.

The manifesto night for this year took place in the Seminar room. The atmosphere was filled with suspense as the aspirants arrived, accompanied by people who read their citations aloud, alongside friends who came to cheer them, as well as curious students who needed to understand what to expect from the incoming administration.

There were five Aspirants in all

Mr Onyekachi and Miss Cecilia are vying for the post of Assistant General Secretary,

Miss Ebunoluwa is vying for the post of General Secretary,

Miss Marvellous is vying for the post of Vice President and

Miss Ebere is vying for the post of President.

During the presentation, observations were made and questions were asked. It was noted that one of the aspirants for the post of AGS, Onyekachi, may be extending his purview to that of the Vice President with his plan to establish a mental health awareness team. Miss Cecilia was questioned about the lack of innovative plans in her manifesto.

The Aspirant for the General Secretary position was advised to restructure the events she had in mind. A student noted that the events would take 10 days and cost a lot of money and time which Napsites may not be able to spare.

However, the aspirants for the Vice President and President positions had plans related to their duties.

The event was an open space for students to weigh ideas and promises ahead of the election date. Students weighed plans and the practicality of each candidate's vision.
