What is a diet?

Diet, according to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, is the kind and amount of food prescribed for a person or animal for a particular reason. In other words, diet is a food, not just any food but a food that consists of required nutrients for the body.

What does nutrition do to the body?

One of the significant functions of nutrition is to aid the proper functioning of organs and tissues. Don't forget that your brain is one of the vital organs in the body, i.e.; it is not excluded from the impact of nutrients in an organism.
