Following Student Protests, Management Moves on Key Issues; Jaja Reopens, Gas Approval in View

Student leaders have announced key resolutions following a meeting with the university management, assuring students of progress on major concerns raised during the recent Congress.

According to the President, representatives of the student body were able to reach agreements with the management on most of the resolutions previously tabled. He noted that these resolutions were presented ahead of the meeting as part of a coordinated effort to address pressing student welfare issues.

Providing an update on the outcomes, the President confirmed that Jaja Hall has been reopened and is now fully operational. “As I speak now, Jaja is opened up, and they would be able to continue services,” he stated.

On the issue of campus gas supply, he disclosed that management has given a two-week timeline for official approval. “We got feedback regarding the progress of the camp gas approval, and we were assured that within the next two weeks, an approval memo will be issued by the management,” he said.

Addressing concerns about electricity, the President reassured students that efforts are underway to restore stable power supply. He urged students to remain optimistic, noting that necessary measures have been put in place. “All efforts have been made to ensure proper electricity. Students should be expectant that there will be light,” he added, while promising that an official memo would be released to communicate further updates.

He also confirmed that academic activities will resume as normal, with students expected to return to classes the following day.

Concluding, the President emphasized the need for patience as discussions continue on outstanding matters. He assured students that the leadership remains committed to engaging with the management until all concerns are fully addressed.
