MEET ADEYEMI TEMITOPE LOVETH THE SOCIAL DIRECTOR ASPIRANT

In this series of Interviews, PsychLens thought it would be beneficial for NAPSites to have an early meeting with the various aspirants for Executive Offices in the Upcoming Elections.

It's essentially a collection of each of their fundamental characteristics, including their core motives and overall perceptions of the Association's leadership.

The main quizzing and evaluating of manifestos will take place at the SLT on November 10, 2021, by 3 pm. Here's, let's meet Adeyemi Temitope Loveth, an aspirant vying for the post of NAPS, UI social director

“I love seeing young people being successful in the society ‘legally’ not the illegal way”

PRESSMAN: Good evening my name is Vivian from Psychlens and I’d like to ask you some questions

TEMITOPE: Yh sure

PRESSMAN: Please introduce yourself in full?

TEMITOPE: My name is Taymie. I’m a 300 level student from the department of psychology

PRESSMAN: Describe yourself to us, your person, basic beliefs in life, source of motivation, e.t.c.

TEMITOPE: My name is Adeyemi Temitope. I’m an entrepreneur, I’m a makeup artist and I sell human hair weaves and wigs. I’m free spirited, I’m friendly and I relate well with people (I’m a people’s person). I’m also really nice.

My belief in life majorly is “Go for it” I feel like there’s so much we can do and achieve as individuals but we limit ourselves. We just need to set our mind to it and work towards it. I love seeing young people being successful in the society ‘legally’ not the illegal way.

I am passionate about all I do especially my work, I’m always looking for opportunities to do better.

I’m mostly self motivated, my parents are also my source of motivation and I have a few models I look up to that motivates and keep pushing me

PRESSMAN: Can you mention some of the models that motivate you?

TEMITOPE: CEO of nature’s treat Café- Mrs Ebun Akinwale

Business wise- Phillip Olamide- CEO of Saphyr events

PRESSMAN: Why exactly are you interested in running for this office?

TEMITOPE: I see it as an opportunity for me to leran and grown and also use my experience to deliver exceptional results to the association. In my social experiences I’ve had the opportunity to create great social activities alongside my team and I would use my previous experiences to guide my new role as the social director and this role seems like a great fit for my personality and there are more social ideas I feel we can achieve as an association

PRESSMAN: What social activities have you created and what are your previous experiences?

TEMITOPE: I contested for the most beautiful girl in Oyo state in 2019 and emerged as the 2nd runner up and was opportuned to be among the chaperone/organizer for the last year’s event.

I also won the title of miss queens 2017/18 session in queen Elizabeth 2 hall UI

I worked with Titan farms Ibadan as the personl assistant to the CEO Engr Gbenga Eyiolawi and have been one of the major planners for most of our events like our 1yr anniversary that held in Abeokuta.

I assisted the committee head for the planning of the CBN concert that held in UI in 2018/19

I was the head of the social committee in 100 level in my previous department, Human Nutrition and dietics and organized picnics and get together for my level

I have worked with the CEO of Saphyr events, TWP(The wedding people) and 1501 events as a coordinator for their events in Lagos and Ibadan

I also worked at Tiwapounds beauty lounge as a makeup artist and I was one of the committee members for our Valentine’s day event.

PRESSMAN: What is one unique thing you will contribute to the offfice if you emerge?

TEMITOPE: I will, together with the Vice president and my team members, organize an humanitarian day, which is the association giving back to the society in ways we can like visting the orphanage or visiting correctional facility centres/homes.

PRESSMAN: It’s a great idea but how do you intend on getting funds for this?

TEMITOPE: It’s going to be a collaborative effort of all the executives, but as the social director I plan to reach out to well meaning individuals, business owners and Non-governmental organisations and I have a few personal contacts with some of these people I intend to reach out to and I also plan on engaging the students of the association to also contribute to the success of these events in any way they can both financially or physically either by contributing products or being physically present. And in fact currently I’m sponsoring the mr/miss NAPS pageantry competition for this session with my brand.

PRESSMAN: What is the central theme of your manifesto?

TEMITOPE: The central theme of my manifesto is A rejuvenated and social experience for the association.
