Meet Grace Yusuf, An Aspirant Vying For The Post Of Naps, Ui Vice President

In this series of Interviews, PsychLens thought it would be beneficial for NAPSites to have an early meeting with the various aspirants for Executive Offices in the Upcoming Elections.

It's essentially a collection of each of their fundamental characteristics, including their core motives and overall perceptions of the Association's leadership.

The main quizzing and evaluating of manifestos will take place at the SLT on November 10, 2021, by 3 pm.

Here's, let's meet Grace Yusuf, an aspirant vying for the post of NAPS, UI Vice President.

Pressman: Good evening ma’am, my name is Caleb, a correspondent of Psychlens Press. Please introduce yourself fully.

Miss. Grace: My name is Grace Yusuf, a 200L student of the Department of Psychology. Born on the 18th of September, a food enthusiast, a lover of movies, an ardent lover of God, and a game-changer.

Achievements-wise:

• A past A'levels teacher of Economics, Sociology, and Business.

• A privileged co-manager of two branches of a recognized educational institution of large capacity.

• The best graduating A'levels student in the Social Sciences

• President of the Anti-HIV/AIDS club in secondary school

• And of course, the sole owner of Stir Kitchen.

Pressman: Describe yourself to us, your person, basic beliefs in life, source of motivation, etc.

Miss. Grace: I'm an easy-going individual, a lover of fun, and also a lover of good food. I believe in the ability of Man to improve his self-worth, hence, whatever the man believes is worth doing at all, should be done at his best. I'll say my source of motivation are my experiences. Humans are actually a means to me learning from my experiences. I would say 70% of all I have learnt till date have been on a platter of personal experiences, they've shaped who I've become and I'm definitely proud of it.

Also, I don't take relationships for granted. I believe every social relationship has a potential and a goal to achieve. And based on our personal discretions, we determine the outcome of these relationships and the level of benefits we get from them.

Pressman: Why exactly are you interested in running for the office of the Vice President?

Miss. Grace: As a lady of quality self worth, I was on the look out for a platform that can EFFECTIVELY bring to light the contributions I'd like to make to the department. The office of the treasurer couldn't do it, neither that of the sports secretary or other offices of the executive. The Vice President fitted perfectly, and I aim to work through that office if elected.

Pressman: What qualities do you think make you unique from your opponent? What are the things that you can say that might give you an upper hand at the polls?

Miss. Grace: Well, asides the fact that I believe no one can visualize my goals the way I see it, and for that reason, no one can actualize it the way I would want it done...I see her as a worthy opponent of equal strength.

Pressman: What is one unique thing you will contribute to this office if you eventually emerge as the VP?

Miss. Grace: That will be helping us see things from one another's perspective, that way, a healthy social interdependence is built. Basically, it's because we haven't discovered the benefit of the person next door, that's why we can barely see a reason for a strong social interaction. So we'll be discovering a lot of things, and that will make every individual capable of making quality input to the department.

Pressman: What is the central theme of your manifesto?

Miss. Grace: SYNERGY, that is, every plan and goals I have for the department aims at bringing us all together. Creating the strength of wholeness than each individual acting alone to achieve the same goal that could been done effectively together.
