In this series of Interviews, PsychLens thought it would be beneficial for NAPSites to have an early meeting with the various aspirants for Executive Offices in the Upcoming Elections. It's essentially a collection of each of their fundamental characteristics, including their core motives and overall perceptions of the Association's leadership. The main quizzing and evaluating of manifestos will take place at the SLT on November 10, 2021, by 3 pm. Here's, let's meet Awe Albert Oluwadamilare, an aspirant vying for the post of NAPS, UI President

"I have a thirst for knowledge and I like to be adventurous"
Pressman : Hello, good afternoon. This is Ekhibise Ameze, a 300 level student of the department of Psychology, University of Ibadan. I'm a member of the National Association of Psychology Students Press Organisation (Psych Lens). I'll like to ask you some questions concerning the post you're going for at the departmental level. Mr Stanley : So how would you want to do this ? Pressman : Please introduce yourself in full. Mr Stanley : Ok. My name is Okolie Chukwuemeka Stanley, I am a 200L student of Psychology, UI. I am Igbo by tribe, and currently I am vying for the office of the general Secretary of NAPS, UI. Pressman : How can you describe yourself? Mr Stanley : Ok. By temperament I fall under the category of Mel-Chlor (Melancholy Choleric). So, I am one who is vision minded, I am a goal-getter, I have a thirst for knowledge and I like to be adventurous, that is, take on new things inorder to learn and gain experience, I also love leaving positive impacts upon the lives of People in whatever places I stay. Pressman : You sound very interesting and selfless. Mr Stanley : I actually am. Pressman : So what are your basic beliefs in life? Also your favourite quote(s) Mr Stanley : Ok. My basic beliefs ; *I am a Christian, I believe in God. *Life is predictable and based upon principles; the principles we keep or break predicts the outcomes of our lives. *The Golden rule; Do unto others as you would that they do unto you. *Every individual has a Purpose; success is not in cars, houses or money, but in living a PURPOSE-DRIVEN life. " Whatever your mind can CONCEIVE, and BELIEVE, It can ACHIEVE " - Napoleon Hill Pressman : Life is predictable.... Please can you give examples of these principles? Mr Stanley : Ok. One good example of the Principles of life is what is called; " The principle of Honour " If an individual dishonours people in his life; friends, family, great Men that can help him, I can predict that he/she will not go far in life, because what you don't Honour you cannot attract, and vice-versa. Pressman : Please can you mention (list) some other principles? Mr Stanley : A few others are; The law of Recognition, The law of Seed time and Harvest, The principle of Consistency, the principle of the Environment e.t.c.
Pressman : You seem to show strong Christian beliefs.
Mr Stanley : They aren't just Christian beliefs, they are life principles.
Pressman : What motivated you to contest for the post of General Secretary?
Mr Stanley : Ok. As I previously mentioned, I love leaving an impact wherever I am.
I want to serve NAPSITES, and with respect to my abilities the best position I can serve through for now is through the Office of the General Secretary.
Pressman : Why do you consider the office of the General Secretary as the best position you can serve? What are these abilities?
Mr Stanley : The office of the General Secretary deals with written correspondence, I am a published Author (My Book is FIRE FOR CONSISTENCY pdf) and I have been developing my writing skills over the years.
This office involves communication in formal settings and with people of Authority, I am a public speaker of over 8 years and I've been building my skills of communication with different kinds of People.
These and other abilities makes the office of the Gen Sec the best for me to offer effective service through to NAPSITES.
Pressman : Alright. What is one unique think you're sure you will contribute to NAPS if you emerge as the winner?
Mr Stanley : I wouldn't want to speak yet on my plans (I would do that on the Press and Manifesto night), but one enduring personality I would be bringing on is the part of me that strives to ensure that a goal is met, as I said I am a goal-getter, I don't give up on a goal until it is clearly beyond all reasonable doubt that a thing cannot be achieved (and that is even rare).
Pressman : What could one of these goals be?
Mr Stanley : As I earlier mentioned, it is contained within my plans which I would be make known to Public knowledge at the Press Night.
Pressman : Alright. If you insist. To round up, what should NAPSites expect from you in one word?
Mr Stanley : THE C4 EFFECT
(C4 Stands for COMPETENCE, CONTINUITY CATALYST, COLLECTIVITY)
Pressman : Is this also the central theme of your manifesto?
Mr Stanley : The central theme is POWER-HOUSE'22 AGENDA, C4 EFFECT refers to how it will be achieved.
Pressman : Alright. That would be all for now. Thank you very much.
Mr Stanley : Ok then.
