NAPS INEC MEMBERS ORGANIZES TRAINING PROGRAM FOR MEMBERS

On the 13th of March, 2023, the training program for members of the departmental electoral committee took place in preparation for the upcoming elections.

While INEC committee members included Mr. Idris Olayiwola, Miss. Ogunsetire Esther, only Idris Olayiwola, and Grace Adepoju were at the training. Guest speakers; Mr. Josiah Obong Josiah, Mr. Samson Tobiloba Samuel, Mr. Afolahan Habib, and Mr. Olatunji Yusuf were present to address topics of concern concerning the elections. Other guests include; NAPS President Mr. Damilare Awe, Pressmen, Editor-in-chief Eniola Fase, and pressman Oluwadarasimi Otunla.

The training was observed online due to the electoral break. It began at precisely 4:06 pm. INEC member Grace Adepoju led the opening prayers. After that, she introduced and acknowledged the guests and committee members present.

The guest speakers took to the stage and spoke on all the aspects of importance to make this year's election a free and fair one. The body was advised to see through the electoral process concerning the rules and regulations. In addition, INEC's formal chairman, Mr. Olatunji, emphasized cooperation among members, including 100% commitment to obeying the committee's rules.

Towards the end of the training, questions were asked during the program, especially concerning the fact that some of the speakers encouraged the privacy of the INEC members. However, clarifications were made. After a short speech of appreciation by INEC member Mr. Idris and NAPS President Mr. Damilare, Miss Grace rounded it up with closing prayers by exactly 6:08 pm.
