NAPS NPHR CONCLUDES 2024/2025 LEGISLATIVE SESSION.

The NAPS House of Representatives officially marked the end of an era on February 13, 2026.

In the handover address, the outgoing Speaker, Rt. Hon. Ojo Mitchell, thanked every member of the 15th assembly for their commitment, cooperation and service. “It has been a privilege to serve...” she stated, commending them further on upholding the values of the House.

She handed over to the incoming speaker Hon. Shamzah Mamman, formerly the Deputy Speaker. The outgoing Speaker expressed confidence in her successor, noting, “I do so with confidence in the continued strength and integrity of this institution.”

And with that, she formally declared the 2024/2025 legislative session closed and the 15th assembly dissolved.
