NAPS UI INAUGURATES NEW EXECUTIVE MEMBERS

The National Association of Psychology Students, (NAPS) University of Ibadan inaugurated a new set of leaders on March 13, 2026. The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Head of Department's office.

The transition marks the end of the outgoing administration’s tenure and the beginning of a new phase of student leadership within the department. During the ceremony, official documents were transferred to the newly elected executives, who are now charged with overseeing departmental governance, welfare, and student representation for the new tenure.

The outgoing administration handed over responsibilities to the new team, led by President Eberechukwukalu. Other key members include Vice President Idumah Marvelous, Assistant General Secretary Emere Onyekachi and other officials overseeing various portfolios.

In his speech, the Head of Department, Prof. Alarape encouraged the new executives to prioritize unity, accountability, and student welfare.

The two staff advisers Dr. Fashanu and Mrs. Lydia encouraged the executives to be proactive and innovative, while emphasising the importance of teamwork and open communication. Both advisers pledged their support for the new council's initiatives.

With the transition complete, the new executive council is expected to commence work, ushering in a new chapter in the leadership and administration of NAPS UI.
