NIGERIAN ASSOCIATION OF PSYCHOLOGY STUDENTS REWARDS TOP SCORERS OF MOCK EXAM

The Nigerian Association of Psychology Students hosted its Mock exam competition prize giving and result presentation on the 12th of June, 2026. The event began at 11:40am in the Large Lecture Theatre with the singing of the National Anthem and School Anthem, led by Miss Cecillia.

The Vice President of the association, Marvellous Idumah then gave an opening address where she emphasised the importance of punctuality, especially during examination seasons. She pointed out using illustrations that tardiness at examinations could have serious consequences, noting that some lecturers would not permit a student to attempt an examination if they arrived late, especially after other candidates had already submitted their scripts.

She warmly invited everyone present to celebrate the winners of the competition.

The Vice President acknowledged the presence of the Speaker of the Faculty Rt. Hon. Peter and Public Relation Officer of the Faculty, as well as the EDC members, Miss Cecillia, Mr. Ebube, Miss Anited, Miss Victory, Miss Catherine as well Mr. Daniel, a tutor, who contributed exceptionally.

Miss Cecilia announced the winners; starting from the third place, Kenneth Esther Oluebube, who won a cash prize of ₦2,000.

The second place went to Festus Bisayo Victory who received a prize of

₦3,500, while Asukwo Rose Bassey, clinched the top prize and a cash prize of ₦5,000.

The President of NAPS, Miss Eberechukwu, delivered a closing address in which she cautioned students against the dangerous habit of “Till Day Break”, the practice of studying through the night immediately before examinations. Sharing the words of gospel singer Dunsin Oyekan, she urged students to ensure that the caution “E go do you like a dream” would not become their reality.

She ended by wishing all students success in their forthcoming examinations.

The event drew to a close at exactly 12:05 p.m.
