The University of Ibadan welcomed a fresh batch of students to its vibrant community on April 16, 2025, at the International Conference Centre. The matriculation ceremony marked a new chapter in their academic journey.
The freshers strutted in, flaunting their vibrant attire and stylish drips, posing beautifully against a backdrop of countless photo booths strategically placed throughout the venue. The program began at 9 am, but by 10 am, the gates leading into the hall were shut, leaving some matriculants disappointed as they were not allowed entry.
Some students were asked to change their footwear before being permitted into the hall. Notably, one matriculant wearing crocs was denied access, which made him sad.
Parents and Staylites students were present to congratulate the freshers on this milestone. In interviews, the matriculants expressed joy and optimism about their new journey, despite challenges such as meeting registration deadlines and adapting to a new environment.
As they look forward to the challenges and triumphs ahead. Matriculants are set to unleash their potential and make lasting impacts on the UI community.
