Updated: Sep 2, 2025

Faith Ajewole

Week, the First: that's a fantasy I spend in my mind and in my Father's house.

Week, the Second: I think I've got to be serious. It really seems school has resumed.

Week, the Third: settling down and finally accepting I have to attend classes.

Week, the Fourth: some Lecturers with foresight give you a forecast of your unseriousness and looming failure and slam you with a test.

Week, the Fifth: Eyes attempt to start opening, but it's too clouded with activities and engagements.

Week, the Sixth: Hello, my friend is vying for the office of... Kindly vote for him. Madam Speaker, I don't think such a decision will be wise for us...

Week, the Seventh: Tear a sheet of paper, write your name, Matric number, Question one.

Week, the Eighth: Socials everywhere, political debates, Press nights, Manifesto night.

Week, the Ninth: Group leader: you people in this group are not even serious, If we all get zero in the assignment, thank God it's a shared failure.

Week, the Tenth: Your Academic fate and Political destiny are gradually being decided.

Week, the Eleventh: Finally, the two eyes are opened, and the judgment called Examination comes knocking.

In all you do, fear UI o! Fear UI ooo!

Verily, this is the Tug of a Second Semester!
