Psychology Seizes all 3 Points to Kickstart the SEALS Cup Campaign

The Psychology Department's football team celebrated a hard-fought victory today in their first match of the SEALS cup competition, defeating the Department of History with a final score of 2-1. The game scheduled for 3:30 pm at the Old SUB pitch featured a display of skill, determination, and strategic play from the men in blue, setting a positive tone for the team's campaign in the tournament.

The match kicked off with both teams showing great enthusiasm and energy. The Psychology team immediately took control of the game, demonstrating excellent coordination and a strong defensive strategy. While their opponents showed resilience, holding the fort down for a long time, Mahrez from Psychology found his way into their net a few minutes to the end of the first half.

The second half saw the Psychology team come out with renewed determination, despite their obvious decline in strength and stamina. After many attacks, counterattacks, fouls, and intense gameplay, Uthman takes a long shot from outside the box, catching the keeper off guard as the ball rolls into the net. With this strike, Psychology goes 2 goals up. However, the excitement of this second goal was short-lived as History’s winger found his foot and shot the ball into the net. While the Psychology defense claimed the winger was offside, the goal stood.

After a few minutes, the referee blew the final whistle, sealing Psychology’s victory.
