THE SILENT STRUGGLE OF A UNIVERSITY STUDENT

Lola was a young lady who believed gaining admission to the university was the beginning of something great. She never anticipated the different kind of battle that came with the excitement.

University life introduced endless assignments, sleepless nights, and days her mind reeled out questions of doubt: “You are not doing enough. You’re getting it wrong. Will you ever achieve your dreams?”

On some days, she cried in silence. Other days were spent laughing with friends, her smile hiding any hint of the exhaustion, fear, and uncertainty she carried every day. Although she longed to move forward, self-doubt kept asking whether she was truly capable of fulfilling the purpose she had set for herself.

Days became months, and months became years. By her third year, Lola realized her greatest struggle was with her own mind rather than the university. She became deliberate with her time, habits, and goals.

She still stumbled, and procrastination occasionally crept back in. However, this time, she refused to let setbacks determine the scope of her success.

Lola's story is far from unique. Across campuses, thousands of students are navigating similar silent battles with anxiety, self-doubt, loneliness, financial pressure, and academic stress.

The truth is that success is rarely a straight line. Every meaningful journey comes with obstacles, disappointments, and moments of uncertainty. What separates those who eventually succeed is not perfection, but persistence.
