A progeny, The fire

The movement, An agenda

Feed them empty promises in rhymes.

Listen, ask for their opinions.

Be everywhere, be accessible.

Answer the questions they haven't asked.

The voice they haven't heard,

speak the words they fear to say, the thoughts that do not live in their head.

Be popular, a leader, an influencer.

Help like you don't need help – that's your strongest weapon

How else can you earn their loyalty?

Don't ask for their votes, ask for their heart.

Get them to love you, to believe that you'll burn for them.

And on that day, don't be interested.

Let them do their thing.

You are not curious about who they support.

Once you are in power, Be

Absent, miss classes or juggle it well and be busy.

Inaccessible, Invisible, you are.

Your position is hard. The same fire

They made you a part of something that is long extinguished.

You are doing a lot that they may not see. First semester, when your tenure starts, you are their servant and power makes your face scarce.

Not like last semester when you needed to smile.

Their voice, their value ended when the votes were counted.
