Time Management: Handle Your Time Like a Pro

Editorial by Eniola Fase

Student life can be a whirlwind, with classes, homework, extracurricular activities, and more vying for your attention. Getting good at managing your time as a student can be a challenge. It's easy to feel like you don't have enough hours in the day, or that you're not doing enough with the time you do have. But it's not impossible! Here are some tips on how to manage your time as a student:

First of all, try to make sure that you're prioritizing your most important tasks first thing in the morning so that you can knock them out before moving on to other things. This will help ensure that nothing gets overlooked and also gives you more time later in the day for fun things like hanging out with friends or playing games.

Next: get organized! If there's one thing college students know how to do well (besides partying), it's being productive with their time. It might sound weird but having a well-organized backpack or bookbag can make all the difference in helping your mind stay focused on what matters most: schoolwork! Make sure everything is in its proper place and ready at hand before heading out each morning so that you know exactly where.

Another key thing is making sure that you're not overcommitting yourself. It's easy to get caught up in commitments at school and at home—don't let this happen! Keep a calendar of all your commitments so that it's clear when something is coming up and what needs to be done by when. This will help make sure that there aren't any surprises or missed deadlines.

Next, it's important to start each day with a plan of action. Take some time at the end of each week (or every couple of weeks) to sit down and think about what needs to get done over the next few days or weeks. This will help you keep track of all your responsibilities without feeling overwhelmed by them!

Lastly, make good use of technology! There are plenty of tools out there that will help with managing your time as a student, from apps that let you set reminders for upcoming assignments or tests, to calendars that sync across multiple devices so everyone in your family has access to them no matter where they are
