In a memorandum released by the University of Ibadan Students’ Union on 31st August, 2025, it is stated that a town hall meeting has been scheduled for Friday, September 5, 2025, at 3PM at the SRC Chamber. The meeting, signed by President Covenant Odedele, aims to evaluate the progress of the current administration and re-strategize for the remainder of the session.
The town hall will be a means for student leaders to deliberate on issues affecting the student body, engage in collective address, and re-evaluate their approach.
Important stakeholders, expected to be present at the meeting, include;
- Faculty and departmental presidents
- Hall chairpersons (each accompanied by two executive council members)
- Majority leaders
- Heads of student organizations
The Memorandum, however, stated that the presence and contributions of these stakeholders above are essential for the success of the engagement.
