University of Ibadan to hold Student Leadership Retreat and Swearing-In Ceremony

The University of Ibadan has issued an invitation to the newly elected student leaders for a leadership retreat and swearing-in ceremony. This was disclosed in a memorandum signed by Assumpta C. Lawal for the Deputy Registrar (Students) on the 27th of January, 2026.

The event is scheduled to be held on Monday, 2nd of February 2026 at Trenchard Hall, beginning at 9:00am prompt.

The swearing-in ceremony is slated for the 5th of February 2026 at the same venue, starting by 10:00am.

The management specified a strictly formal dress code for the events and registration will begin 30 minutes prior to the start of each event. The memo also added that invitation is extended to one representative from each Faculty and Hall of Residence, specifically the Faculty Presidents and Hall Chairpersons.

The events would be the indication of a new student leadership tenure.
